The Invictus Games, founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, are an international adaptive sporting event for ill and injured serving and Veteran military personnel. The Games use the power of sport to support recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration, while fostering greater public understanding and respect for those who have served.
As a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Program, Soldier On has the honour of forming, preparing and managing Team Canada for the 2027 Invictus Games that will take place in Birmingham, UK in July 2027.
Soldier On and Team Canada’s primary goal for these Games is to positively support a competitor’s recovery journey through sport as a key to an ongoing active lifestyle. Therefore, Team Canada’s staff must be able to meet a competitor where they are in their recovery journey. Whether it be to get to the start line, podium finish aspirations, and everything in between.
Team Canada competitors will be comprised of 31 CAF serving members and Veterans with a wide range of physical and/or mental health visible and invisible injuries and illnesses.
Soldier On is looking for passionate and dedicated coaches from the military community and civilian population to train and help prepare Team Canada in 11 different sports for the 2027 Invictus Games.
